Cheapoair booking # 10590468.

Stuck in Charles deGaulle airport on October 6 after a 1-hour train delay forced us to miss our flight.

We spent two hours on the phone with Cheapoair representatives, and another hour with Air France representatives trying to work out a plan that would get us home for a reasonable cost. We understood it might cost change fees, but. A rail delay is not covered by Cheapo's Trip insurance. Only injury accidents or death or whatever. Our dream vacation ended with a huge bill. If you are able to help resolve this, that would be very much appreciated.

Renee Andrews from Cheapo intercepted a complaint we posted on a blog and asked for clarification. That was two weeks ago. I've emailed twice since with no reply.

I wish I had read the reviews before booking with this cheapo "service."
I have bought discounted tickets before that were "nonrefundable," but ALWAYS was able to change them for a change fee. NOT so with Cheapoair.
They were absolutely zero help too when we found ourselves stranded and the airline was willing to change it, but couldn't because of a code set in the system by Cheapoair. And Cheapo just put me on hold for 30+ minutes only to come back and try to sell me another ticket and insurance.
Bottom line, when traveling unexpected things come up, and the way Cheapo Air is handling the tickets is not worth it. Their insurance does is just another fee with a lot of small print.

Martin1950, very sorry for the delay in a response. Our escalations team is working on your concern and we have not heard back from Air France if they are willing to compensate. The ticket you purchased is a consolidator fare and is highly restrictive, regardless of what the air france agent advised, she/he may not of been familiar with the rules of our ticket. This is still being reviewed, and our escalations team will be in touch.
