Using a bad situation to price gouge.
I booked an international flight through CheapOair. I told them the day I wanted to return from my trip. The flight was booked to leave my destination on that day, and land 2 days later, not to actually return on that date. I attempted to contact them to change the flight and had already found a flight on their website (10 minutes after the original booking) that would fit my needs. The customer service rep ignored my requests for that particular flight for hours. Instead she told me all of the options that were best for me, not letting me tell her what was best for me. When (2 hours later) she finally listened to what I had to say, I was informed that the price of the ticket I wanted had just jumped up by 800 dollars. I had refreshed the flight info 2 minutes prior to this and the price had not increased at all. It increased on their website as she was saying this to me. I researched the flight through the actual airline and the price had not increased for this particular flight at all. The price had been increased on their website only because they knew I wanted that particular flight that they did not want to give me.
